Anyone ever do one of those solo vacation packages?

I am thinking of doing a solo vacation package to Europe or Japan. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but what do you think about them? Most of the ones I’ve seen are where you travel around with guides and the same 20 people or so for the duration.
