Tired of not being able to spend quality time with my loved ones

I'm a 28 year old man. I've been working in IT for the past 8 years and have children for the past 5 years.

My work hours are 8:45 AM to 4:30 PM or so. Before 8:00 AM my wife usually gives my kids breakfast, takes them to school, gives them snacks and packs their bags for school. After getting back home she usually has to do the dishes, laundry, sweep the floors and clean the bathrooms.

After 4:00 PM, she picks up the kids from school, gives them snacks, usually takes them to classes or playdates and then to a park. I do all the cooking and grocery shopping after 4:30 PM (one or two days a week). I also have to clean up the kitchen and take out the trash and recycling.

Weekends aren't any different. On Saturday I have to clean the floors, change the sheets, do more laundry, mow the lawn or do some other maintenance work around the house or take the kids to a park. Sundays I have to go shopping with my wife and do some more yard work, etc.

I don't have any time to play with my kids, go on playdates or watch them learn new skills. I'm so busy cooking and doing chores around the house that I barely have enough time to tuck them in bed and read them a bedtime story. I also miss spending quality time with my wife or watching a movie together, etc.

I'm so tired of this routine. I'm doing the best I can at work to hopefully get promoted or switch to a better paying job so I can hire a nanny or maid to help around the house.

I feel burnt out out and would like to quit my job so I can spend quality time with my family but that's out of the question.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
