Why are we accepting the fact that oil companies can increase their prices by 10-15% or more within hours of the war in Ukraine starting?

It is outrageous to me. There is a war in Ukraine, and that means oil prices increase. That's what you expect.

However, actually hiking oil prices by 10-15% or more within hours of the war starting is *price gouging*. And we all just seem to accept that as normal.

It is not justified to increase oil prices by 15-20% within a few hours. That is not supply and demand, it is just straight up price gouging.
