How do y'all not spend money on things?

I don't spend crazy amounts of money. I don't smoke or use drugs. But at least once a day I'll buy a bag of potato chips or a snack or a drink. I'll buy a copy of a book I already have because I found a better edition for $6. I don't see a whole lot of things I want, and when I do I usually buy them.
