Even though I'm a Native San Franciscan I still have never seen so many homeless people in San Francisco. For San Francisco to be such a developed city it amazes me how there is no noise about this, shelters for the homeless, affordable housing to prevent people from being homeless, etc. The more I drive around San Francisco, the more I see tent cities and people sleeping on the streets. When I first started going to the beach, Coney Island, was a tent community of about 100 tents. For San Francisco to be the way it is you would think that there would be no homeless. It's sad to see Native San Franciscans be homeless and have no choice but to sleep on the streets. San Francisco is such a shitshow and I'm just waiting for something more disastrous to happen.

Edit: San Francisco Native here. I’m half Mexican, half black. I grew up in Bernal Heights. For those who doubted my nativeness
