It may overlook valuable information about a candidate's fit, potentially harming the company and the individual. Employers may have to spend extra resources training employees who aren't suited for a role. It can lead to missed opportunities and a lack of trust in the hiring process, as well as potential legal issues if the employer doesn't have enough information to defend their hiring decisions.
