\-------------------------

Hello everyone.
This is my first post. I have some questions for you and would like to have a conversation about it. I am not a historian but rather a philosopher and a writer, so I have no intention of starting a discussion or claiming an absolute truth here.

My question is about the third Occidental Empire. Let me explain this idea briefly. The first Occidental Empire is Ancient Rome, its political structure, laws and culture are what we still use today to be able to call ourselves Europeans, since the Roman Empire was built and governed by Occidentals.
The Second Empire is Portugal, its expansionism colonized the tropical belt of the planet, reaching the East. With the Portuguese empire, the tropical belt is assimilated into modernity.
Now, with regard to the third Occidental Empire. Is it possible? The Portuguese also colonized the tropical belt, as I mentioned. But colonialism ended in 1960. Is there still a possibility of a Third Occidental Empire? Would Portugal not be the Third Empire? Would Portugal not have expanded further to reach the East?
I have some doubts about this, mainly due to the fact that the Portuguese only colonized the coasts of Asia and Africa, without entering the continent. Portugal was not as expansionist as the Romans, nor did it have the same military power as Rome. Or should we not look at the question of the military, the strength and the conquest of the Third Empire? Should we look at the colonization of the tropical belt as the strength and conquest of the Second Empire? I have many doubts about this.
