The lack of professionalism in the medical field is disappointing and frankly unprofessional

So I’ve been to many doctors appointments in my short life. My issue with a lot of doctors is that they are generally very awkward and lack communication skills. It feels like a robot is talking to me and orders around a bunch of tests and then sends me on my way like I’m an Amazon package.

I feel like there should be more classes on people skills, communication, and talking to people. When you go to the doctor you feel anxious and nervous because you feel like something is wrong with you. The medical field lacks empathy and lacks sympathy. The doctors can be very robotic and cold hearted, cold blooded, and lack any people skills. Doctors can be very blunt, to the point to a fault. I don’t want to be told I have cancer in a monotone voice.

Very few doctors are actually very pleasant and caring. Most of them just send you on your way, I don’t even think they care if you live or die.

Edit: thanks for the awards, I hope this goes to the top, awareness needs to be brought to this topic.
