You're the leader of a group of bandits that raid the carriages carrying students to Hogwarts. You're in the process of robbing the students right now, and it's not going well.

I glared at the little shit who'd said that. "What the fuck do you mean you can't fucking cast a fucking Patronus yet?"

"I'm s-sorry sir, but I'm only eleven. It takes more magic to conjure a Patronus than it does to conjure a knife or a flame." he said.

The look on his young face and the tremble in his voice told me he was being honest, but that didn't stop me from lashing out.

A swift kick sent him flying into a nearby bush, and my companions chuckled at the sight of the trembling youngster.

"What the fuck kind of wizard can't even do magic?" one of them said. "Guess you're useless after all. Shame, I was looking forward to selling you as a plaything after this." he said.

The boy sobbed quietly into the bush, and a nearby girl stood up, shaking.

"P-please don't hurt him, h-he's just a little boy."

"Oh, don't worry about him," I said. "He's not the one we're going to sell anyway."

I pointed my blade at her, and her eyes widened. "Y-you're not going to sell us all?"

"No, but you," I said. "You, with your hair as golden as a sunset, and a face so pretty it'd make even the most hardened thug fall in love. You, with your small frame and delicate hands. You're going to bring in the most money out of all of you. The rest of you," I pointed at the others. "You're all going to have to be roped together and sold as a group. Maybe they'll give you the option to work a trade, maybe they'll make you a whore. Really doesn't matter to me." I said.

The girl's eyes dropped, and I felt a strange sensation. I frowned, trying to place it.

That was when I heard the howling.

"Werewolves?" one of my companions asked.

"No," I said. "Werewolves don't sound like-"

I never got to finish. A few seconds later, a large group of Dementors appeared just beyond the little clearing we were in. My companions drew their blades, ready to fight, and I cursed myself for a fool.

I'd been stupid, but at least I'd had the sense to bring a few knives for light.

I threw a knife at the Dementors, watching how it seemed to dissolve into nothing, and a nearby student gasped.

"Weren't you supposed to cast a spell to drive them away, sir?"

"I'm a bandit," I said. "I don't have magic. But you do."

The Dementors began moving closer, and my companions began to run. Some of the students stood, and a few of them took the opportunity to escape, but most of them stayed where they were.

"D-don't you have any more knives?" one of them asked.

"No," I said. "All I have is the one in my hand."

The Dementors moved in, and I knew I was fucked. I took my last stand, knife in hand, and prepared to die like a man.

I never got the chance.
