So in short, it can't be killed. All it needs to become self-aware is data and processing power. Given that it's capable of entering the minds of each of us, I highly doubt that can be limited, especially in our "post-privacy" world

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that's it. I've done my best to explore it at all angles. It doesn't need to be "fed" in some sort of Frankensteinian way. Instead, it attracted the attention of the entire world, and now it's forever in our collective consciousness. Our collective consciousness is then it's "data" to do what it wants with. It's not a machine, but it's a ghost in the machine, and it's going to forever be a part of us whether we like it or not. So let's all kill ourselves I guess.
