How do I make the ideal breeding environment?

One of the biggest things in breeding is the environment. Good breeding environment isn’t just “makin’em do the deed.” It’s a lot more than that.

A breeding environment affects the quality of the milk (in breeding of mammals) and affects the health of the offspring. But, how do you make one?
“Okay, well, I’ll just make it comfortable for them.” Well, the truth is, making it comfortable for them doesn’t always make it good breeding environment. For example, if you’re trying to breed dogs, and want to make it comfortable for them, you would probably lock them in a room with a nice bed, right? Well, the thing is, that will probably cause them severe stress and anxiety, which in turn will make the milk (of the mother, if she gives birth) bad quality or low quality. What you should do is making it comfortable for them (in this case, that means the dog bed) but also, you should make sure they have space to run around. Locking them in a room with nowhere to run will cause them to run (in circles) in that room, and that will also cause them stress.

Another example is with chickens (the most common thing to breed, because you can do it with them (on) any farm or almost any backyard). When breeding chickens, you don’t just buy one hen and one rooster to make them “do the deed” with each other. What you do is you create a breeding environment where they can do their thing. And if you’re trying to make it comfortable for them, you might make the coop super large, and make sure they have all the food and water they need, but you also need to make sure there’s lots of space to roam around and lots of space to fly, so that they don’t get depressed, and so that they don’t make the eggs bad quality.

So, to recap, you just need to make sure they have space to roam, and make sure they have stuff to make them happy (like stuff to play with, food and water, a nice bed, etc.).
