This is based on my understanding of various issues and may not be considered the truth . I am open to feedback .

1. It has been said that the hostility between Hindus and Muslims began after the partition of India.
While this is true for many people, for many, the possibility of tension between Hindus and Muslims began long ago.

2. As I know from various reports, many sculptures of Hindu deities were destroyed during the reign of Aurangzeb .
A Muslim emperor in the Mughal Empire. ( maybe I am wrong, I know nothing about Indian history, I am a foreigner )

3. Another example is the destruction of the Bamiyan Buddha .
I think many people know about it, but it was a huge Buddha statue that was destroyed by the Taliban. I know that the Taliban is not Indian, the reason is stated below.

4. If we consider Hinduism and Buddhism as Asian religions, the situation will become clearer.
Buddhist deities and Hindu deities are also worshipped together in Southeast Asia.
Both Buddhism and Hinduism are Indian religions, and it is natural that they share sculptures and gods.

5. Therefore, attacks on Buddhist statues in Afghanistan can be seen as attacks against Hindus as well.
From this point of view, the problem between Hindus and Muslims is not necessarily an issue that started after the partition of India.

6. Therefore, it cannot be said that such problems arise only when India and Pakistan coexist.
Even if there is no Pakistan, there will be enmity.
