I've learned two additional languages, high school level Spanish and college level German, and I speek them almost flawently. I feel like the best way to learn a language, is:

1. Get a textbook that is just your target language. For example, if you wanna learn Spanish, get a book that speeks only in Spanish. It has to have all the basic words and phrases that is used in everyday life.

2. Get a car book of your target language. This is handy when you are on the go, and you can look at words and their meanings.

3. Watch speach of your target language on YouTube. This is good for learning pronunciation and speeking skills.

4. Take a class OR get a tutor. This is good for learning new vocabulary, and practicing your speeking.

5. Make yourself speek only in your target language. For example, if you are trying to learn Spanish, talk only in Spanish. Do not speek in your native language unless if you absoluty have to.

Remember, practice makes perfect. I think it is very important that you speek with a native speaker of your target language atleast once a day. Learning a language can be boring, but you will get rewards as you continue to learn.
