the fact that Prince was able to do everything that he did is still so impressive to me

there are so many barriers to art, to success, to being yourself. Prince was a talented genius who somehow had the opportunities to draw on virtually every style of music, dance, fashion, art, and film. he did so much in his life, and touched so many people. when you actually go through his discography, you see just how deep it runs. he had his problems, but he was a master artist. it makes me a little sad to think we'll never have anyone like Prince again, but we can all be like Prince in one way or another.<br><br>this is the true power of feminism: not to criticize men or tear them down, but to recognize everyone's obstacles to freedom and to create a world where everyone has an equal chance to do their best work and be their fullest selves.
