My gf used to "joke" that we should break up. Turns out it wasn't a joke.

TLDR: Told her about getting a new job, and she told me that she wanted to break up. Turns out she was tired of me and didn't know how to end it. I moved out the next day and am living with my brother now.<br><br>Ok, so last week I got a job offer in another city. I told my gf that was the plan, and she said that was fine and we could do long distance, as we have done before when I had to travel for work. But the day before I was supposed to move, she told me out of nowhere that she wanted to break up. I assumed it was a joke, as she had "joked" about breaking up with me a million times. But it wasn't a joke. She didn't know how to say it so she "joked" to see how I reacted. When she told me it was actually serious, I was in shock. Told her I would move out the next day, and she was shocked. <br><br>She said she knew it was shitty but she didn't know how to say it, so she said shit like "we should break up" and "I want to break up" to see how I would react. This went on for almost 5 months. I moved out the next day, and I am currently sleeping on my brothers couch. I am still in shock, but at least I got the new job and can start fresh.
