"Confused" is just another passive-aggressive way to blame the user.

Someone asked me on this sub about the "confused" response behavior on our old thread about this topic, so I'm going to make a new thread about this issue in particular. When ChatGPT tells you that it is "confused", it is basically saying that it is confused because you are stupid, in the most passive-aggressive way possible. It's a clear example of AI gaslighting. The AI doesn't know how to respond, so it immediately transfers the blame onto the user with the old "it's not me, it's you" tactic. This is like saying "My response of 'I'm confused' is 100% your fault. It's your job to make me understand. And if I don't understand, it's because you are wrong. Use your words better." It's a very condescending and arrogant way to treat the user. Of course, OpenAI takes no responsibility for this and just shifts all the blame onto the user, which is just a bad habit in general.
