"Baby" is on the way

As you may be aware, 4chan went private on June 18th. The obvious question on everyone's mind was who bought it. Gonna give you a long answer, but just sign and date the bottom line, right? A few hours ago, I received the news. I just got back from Koba taking care of some paperwork. I'm back now. I made the announcement. I think. I can't help but feel saddened. Start from the beginning. Happens every time. What? My brother who works at Tokyo Dome said they're going to have a big ceremony on the 29th to celebrate the sale. This is when it hit me. This place is going to be sold. I'm the first to say I'm not the best guy for the job. I'm sorry. I'm sorry to Shiho, I'm sorry to myself. I'm so sorry.<br>As of today, I have transferred ownership and responsibility of 4chan to Hiroyuki Nishimura. He is the founder of 2channel. He's not here, but he's said he's saddened by the circumstances and saddened that the thing he built from scratch is now gone. Why did I give him 4chan? Like I said before, the best guy for the job is not me. The best guy for the job is him. He's the one who built the concept. This is probably the last time you will see me, but I have to tell you guys something. This place will never die. It will never go away. A new parent may raise 4chan, but I'm not gonna let this child die. It's not gonna die. It's gonna keep going. I'm not giving up on this child. I'm going to keep making it. I'm gonna grow up, and 4chan is gonna grow up together. It's gonna happen, I promise. Now I'm gonna go check Twitter and open a bottle of champagne and cry a little.
