Safe to do a 10 item amazon order without prime one day shipping soon?

I ordered some stuff on the 5th (5 day shipping) and it was supposed to come in on the 10th. I’m not freaking out yet but usually they at least update the status to arriving sooner so I can track it ASAP. But it’s not even “out for delivery” or anything. I haven’t had to wait this long in a while.
