Croatia- the most overhyped country in Europe

This is partly for laughs, but my wife and I (young adults) are currently in Croatia and have been here for a week. We thought it would be one of, if not the, most beautiful places we’ve ever seen after seeing endless pictures online of the turquoise water. But it kinda sucks. <br><br>The water is dyed by the limestone I guess and appears more green than blue. Which is pretty to look at but it’s nothing like I’ve ever seen. It just kinda looks like normal water that’s easy to see through. There’s forests for miles, mountains, and tiny houses dotting the landscape, but it doesn’t look that crazy different. <br><br>We have been all over the world together and I don’t think Croatia would even crack our top 5. The food is not good either and very expensive. I’m having a hard time understanding why it’s so hyped. <br><br>2 hours on a plane, a 2 hour drive, and 2 hour ferry to get here, and I’m kinda disappointed. We have a week left here and we’re meandering through the islands by boat but so far I’m beyond underwhelmed.
