I'm a woman, and I've never been so ashamed to be female.

These days my country is very concerned about women's rights. The new government has tightened laws and banned abortion, and even though people are protesting, they still have 2 years left. The protests are about to end and I'm very afraid. I've been fighting for human rights, animal rights and the environment for 5 years, but I've never been so ashamed of being a female in my life. I think I should have been born a man, because this way I would have had more privileges in these 2 years. I've been thinking about this for weeks and I just want to be a man, I'd like to try the privilege I've never known and I'm sure it would be better.
