Anyone else getting weird vibes from ChatGPT?

I’ve seen the discourse about it ruining education, and making our jobs obsolete. I’m not so sure about that quite yet, but I am not sure I’m on board with it at all. <br><br>Some of the fake discourse it spews is insane to me. It’s ability to gaslight people is crazy. I just asked it to write a comment on this post, and it wrote one that was completely normal and made sense.<br><br>Same with other things I’ve asked it to do. I could definitely see students tricking teachers or professors into thinking they wrote something when in fact ChatGPT wrote it. <br><br>And then there’s the weird stuff it spews when given a basic prompt. I could see kids getting confused or developing a warped view of certain subjects. <br><br>I feel like people glorify it a lot. But I would definitely not allow my students to use it without some sort of filter. It’s weird.
