Definitely a time to buy nothing.

Some of you may get this reference but for anyone who doesn’t James Patterson and his wife have created a movement called “buy nothing Christmas”. <br><br>It’s an idea that you don’t have to get gifts for everyone just because the holidays are here and people are so consumerist all year round that they don’t want to make this season about material things. Instead they do group activities and cook things and not feel the need to give gifts to everyone just because we are in a certain month. <br><br>I think this is an awesome idea and if you don’t already do this, I encourage you to. I’m not saying you can’t get gifts. I’m just saying don’t feel like you’re breaking the rules if you don’t get anyone anything this year.
