Can anyone recommend some Hindu religious figures (Gods, Devis, etc.) to worship if I'm not Indian? (I am just a generic white Christian American)

I have been doing some research on the Hindu faith and I am very impressed thus far, but I don't know who exactly to initially worship or pray to if I am not ethnically Indian, or where to start looking. There seems to be a lot of different religions figures and subsects of Hinduism to be honest!<br><br>Any advice would be appreciated. <br><br>Thank you for reading :)
