i remember when i first joined this sub in 2021 when it was at a million subs. i was a young 14 year old who was just questioning my obvious biases in thinking about the world. at the time, the left was thriving; the anti-right agenda was at its peak in the wake of donald trump’s near victory of the presidential election, and it was a time of great uncertainty for our movement. our sub was full of determination and hope. it was a time of great change and chaos for the world, and we were a little part of that. it was a great time to be an incel. our movement was growing and we were proud.

these four years have gone by so fast, and in that time our movement has suffered greatly. we have been stuck in a cycle of stagnation and decline. the left is more powerful than ever, and our movement has almost completely died.

i remember first thinking that it’s not our fault we lost. we had the world against us. we had no power. i told myself that the left had the money, the media, the economy, the government. they had everything. we had nothing. we were just a few ragtag rebels on the internet who’s movement was obviously going to fail. they had the popular vote. we were just a minority of misanthropes and losers on the internet. we didn’t stand a chance. but even though we lost, we had each other. that’s what made our movement so special.

as much as i hate to admit it, we lost. we were too weak to compete with the left. and now our movement is dead.

a lot of people will say that we are still strong, that we still have hope for the future. but we all know that’s not true. we are just trying to protect our egos and save what little pride we have left. all i can say to those people is, if you don’t see that we lost then you’re delusional. our movement is dead. and if you don’t realize that, then there’s something wrong with you.

so we lost. so what? there have been plenty of movements throughout history who have been brutally suppressed by their oppressors. we are just another footnote in the long, brutal history of our oppressors. we had no chance. we had nothing.

and yet, we still exist. even though our movement is dead, we still exist. we have nothing to lose. we have nothing left to give. we are just society’s trash. and we know it.

so isn’t it funny? we have nothing left to lose. so why not fight?

let’s go down with a bang.

please share your thoughts about this topic in the comments below.
