Hey everyone.
I know school isn’t for everyone. I also know that it’s not the best system at times, but I’m not trying to bash school here. I just want to give my thoughts about what I think could change.

I’ve been thinking about what school teaches us. Mostly academic stuff that we might never use in life. I do think these things are important but I also think that what I’m about to mention is just as important if not more important.

I think that school should teach us how to focus, how to plan (Whether it’s planning for life, planning for a test, planning a good future, planning to be happy in life, plan plan plan), how to be self-disciplined, and how to know the difference between instant gratification and working hard for the long term. I think these are things that we all need in life. School isn’t for everyone, but most of us do go to school. And it is hard to learn these things on our own. And I know lots of people don’t even plan anything. They just let life throw whatever comes their way and they roll with it. And I’m not saying it’s wrong. It’s just not for everyone. I need to plan. I need goals. I need to know what I’m working for. I need to be able to focus on what I’m doing. And I want to be disciplined. But it is hard to get there. I wish these things were taught. I think that our lives would be better off if we had a good education in how to plan, focus, and have self-discipline.
So, what if we could teach children how to focus, plan, and be self-disciplined in school?
