My (36m) bible study group kicked me out. They say I was wrong to do what I did but I believe it was just a necessary evil. The entire thing culminated at the Christmas party.

I attend a Wednesday night bible study group. The group is 3 men including myself and 4 women.

We are all families, we are all significantly wealthy. We are all friends.

We have a group chat that we use to communicate with each other. Typically, we talk about prayers, needs, events, etc.

The problem started when one of the men, we'll call him Jim, started hitting on one of the ladies, we'll call her Catherine. Catherine, however, is married toenguess who. She's married to one of the men in the group and honestly, if he wanted to be a TA while she was in Law School, he shoud have thought of that before he married a gold digging whore.

Catherine has never been subtle about her games. She could never turn it off. Honestly, I don't think she really tried to.

Anyway, we used to have group coffe after church every Sunday. It was just a tradition for the group. We'd grab a table, talk about church and life, etc. Catherine would always sit next to me. I assumed she just enjoyed my company but one day I realized that she put herself in a position where her husband and I could both see her but she could make eyes at Jim without him seeing.

That's when I decided to play a game.

I started flirting with her. She could never turn it off and I figured I could muddy the waters. She'd flirt back to me and I'd make sure her husband noticed. Then later I'd pull him aside and ask him if he was doing ok. I'd make sure he knew that I was there for him and I thought she was perfect.

I did the same with the other women in the group. It's not that I don't like their husbands, it's just that they deserved better than bitches.

I went so far as to make sure all the women in the group were flirting with me and that all the men in the group knew it.

Fast forward a few weeks and we're at the Christmas party.

The event was at Catherine and her husband's house. It was a very nice event and they truly are gracious hosts.

We ate, we sang, we had raffles, etc. We had a great time.

I went through my pile of raffle tickets and determined I didn't have any winners. I crumpled them up and tossed them on the ground.

When we were leaving, I was one of the first few out the door. As we were walking out I heard her husband behind me.

"Hey did you drop something?" He said.

I stopped and turned. "Oh yeah, here, catch!" I said as tossed the wad of tickets at him. It was a perfect throw. It landed square in the middle of his face.

The entire room fell silent. Later, Jim told me that Catherine's face scrunched up so hard he thought she'd cry.

The very next day I got a call from Jim. "Hey man, we need to talk." He said.

I met him at Panera and he sat me down.

"Dude, you can't do that shit. That was uncool and unChristlike. I'm sorry bro, but Catherine and her husband have decided that you can't attend anymore."

"Hah! Really? But I'm the one that kicked a whore out!" I said.

"No dude. You fooled around and hurt people you claim to be friends with. Those were real people that you toyed with and you did it maliciously. You played games with people you claim to be brothers with. You broke every single one of the 10 commandments during that game you played."

"Huh?" I asked.

"Well you dishonored your fellow Christians. You took their wives and your own. You had them bear false witness. You had them lie and steal and covet. Literally the only one you didn't break was murder." He clenched his teeth.

"I was just trying to show the bitches for what they are."

"Well congrats on being an asshole." He said.

"You're taking her side?"

"I'm not taking any sides. What I'm saying is that you're an asshole and this is your comeuppance."

I stood up and left. Did I go too far?
