Wife and I had to cancel our Disney vacation because of the virus..

So my family and I were planning on going to Disney World. My kids had been looking forward to it for a while now. <br><br>Anyways, we are in NC and the Orlando County government made it mandatory to wear a mask in public spaces. I am not one to wear a mask. <br><br>We see numerous news reports about people who aren't wearing masks in stores/restaurants being beaten up and harassed by other customers. <br><br>I hear that Disney might require masks to be worn while on their property. We also hear stories of people being harassed for not wearing masks at Disney parks.<br><br>I don't want to ruin my family's vacation by getting into some altercation with some mask nazi.<br><br>So we cancelled our trip.<br><br>The point is.... I have never seen so much division in our country. People are demanding that others wear masks just so *they* feel safe.<br><br>It's not the virus I'm afraid of. <br><br>It's the American people that are acting like fucking lunatics over this bullshit.<br><br>Edit: I would also like to point out that there are tons of other places my kids would love to go that aren't so strict about mask-wearing. <br><br>We aren't' buying into the propaganda. We are just tired of the division in our country. People need to mind their own business instead of attacking and beating up people who don't wear masks. <br><br>Edit 2: I don't care if you wear a mask. That's your decision. It's your right to make that choice. You can't make that choice for me just because you feel scared.<br><br>I have many other options that aren't as invasive or hostile.<br><br>The CDC has admitted that masks don't work! So why are people still fighting about this?<br><br>Small Business owners are being fined and arrested for not enforcing mask mandates. <br><br>It's fucking bullshit and it's making me angry!
