I’ve always known I didn’t want kids, and that’s just how it is. My parents are great parents, but I just know I don’t want to have kids. I thought once I got older I’d finally want kids, but the older I’ve gotten, the less I’ve wanted them.

I’ve been in a relationship for a few years now, and my partner has been on the fence about kids. But now she’s finally confident that she doesn’t want kids. The reason I bring my partner up is because her sister is the reason for this post.

My partners sister has a toddler now, and she’s become pretty bad at dealing with her. The child is constantly screaming, hitting and biting, and the sister just yells at her without doing much else. The child is very clearly in need of discipline and lots of attention from her parents, but it seems like my partners sister barely has patience for the child anytime she’s around.

The child is very clearly in need of a lot of attention from her parents, but without a father in the picture, it’s all on my partners sister. I’ve seen her barely interact with the child when they’re together. She barely even looks at her. The child is so neglected and in need of attention, it’s hard to watch her be ignored.

What’s worse is she told us that when she was at the park with her child, her child was “getting on her nerves” and she left her at the park. She came back hours later and the child was still there. She didn’t even send anyone else to check on her! How do you leave a three year old alone at a public park for hours?

That was the first incident I heard, but my partner says it’s not normal behavior for her sister to be so neglectful and inattentive to her child.

Now whenever we have to be around her and her child, my partner and I feel bad for the kid because she’s constantly being ignored and barely looked after.

After seeing all of this, I’m now more confident than ever that I never want kids.
