I have a meeting with an administrator this afternoon

I’m a special education teacher for an elementary school in California. This is my first year teaching, I am still getting the hang of it. Next week is Thanksgiving break. I have worked at the school for 88 days. <br><br>Today I had a meeting with one of the administrators. They said that they are going to be writing me up for accumulating too many sick days, and that we will be discussing my options for next year. I don’t think I will be allowed to return. I think that it’s crazy that they are saying that I have accumulated too many sick days, when I have only missed 6 school days since I started working in July. Also teachers get sick days. I would not have joined this profession if I thought that I was not allowed to miss work for getting sick, or if I was expected to come to work sick. Am I overreacting? I feel targeted. I have only missed 6 days of work since July. My contract is 189 days. This seems like a low number of sick days. I don’t think I have done anything wrong.
