Warning: I’m no doctor. Also, I know it wasn’t smart to take that cocktail, but it’s done. What’s important is to potentially mitigate the damage.
IMPORTANT: This is a general inquiry for anyone that knows enough about benzos. I’ll describe the situation and the pills I took. If you have any knowledge of the metabolism of benzos, and how they interact with each other, please share. If you can tell me what dangerous interactions I may have done, please share. If you know of any way that I can potentially mitigate any brain damage or any other damage, please share. This is for educational purposes. I’m not asking for advice.

I took 3mg of Xanax (1mg+1mg+1mg) and 5mg of Klonopin (2.5mg+2.5mg) tonight. The Xanax pills were taken roughly 3-4 hours apart. The Klonopin pills were taken roughly a hour apart. I understood that taking multiple pills of the same benzo was bad because they can cause a cumulative effect that becomes dangerous. I didn’t realize that taking different benzos may yield a similar outcome because of the way that the body processes them. I also know that taking benzos can sometimes cause “rebound anxiety” and I think I may be experiencing it as well. I took the pills because I was trying to help myself fall asleep and avoid the increasing anxiety that comes with staying awake for a long time. Tonight was a mistake because I usually don’t take that many pills in one night, and I would take them in smaller dosages over time.

If you have any helpful information, please let me know. I’m a bit worried about my health.
