The EPT is designed to meet the varied needs of both US and international militaries, as well as law enforcement agencies and commercial markets around the world. The Magpul PMAG 9x19 EPT features a double-stack 17 round capacity for the 9mm variant, with an ergonomic design. The double-stack design is engineered to withstand extreme feeding angles and control rounds during reload with no loss of function through the pistol’s “last round” bolt hold open feature. This feature also permits the ammunition to be safely carried and fed via controlled round feeding through the open ejection port. The Magpul PMAG 9x19 EPT’s feed lip geometry resists nose diving and is configured to provide a smooth transition into the chamber. This provides reliable feeding with bullets having a wide range of shapes and geometries. The EPT’s body is constructed of an extremely durable Black Nitride treated 17-4PH stainless steel. This provides a highly corrosion- and wear-resistant magazine body to withstand the rigors of daily use and training. The Magpul PMAG 9x19 EPT’s pop-off Impact Cover can be easily installed from either side and features an integral ledge to stop dirt and debris from entering the magazine body. This cover further enhances resistance to the elements and provides a simple way to clean the magazine by removal of the cover plate. The Magpul PMAG 9x19 EPT’s floorplate features a version of the Magpul Self-Leveling Follower, which operates at a new level, preventing nose dives and providing clean, consistent feeding through extended use and under a variety of extreme environmental conditions.
