I finally got my PC in the post, and this was the day I was going to learn to code for the first time.

I read the beginner FAQ to the letter, and that was really helpful. However, I did feel a sinking feeling in my stomach after I read it, because I realised how much work was ahead of me.

I downloaded python, read the help menu, and I'm now just staring blankly at the screen. I don't know where to go next, and I feel a deep sense of anxiety.

Has anyone else in the sub felt this way when they first started? How did you get past this stage, and what advice would you give?
