I remember why i hated Tinder every time

I’m flying solo on a weekend trip. I like to match people close to my location so I can hang out, maybe get some local tips from people. Or, you know, have sex.

I swipe right on a girl and we match. We start chatting and i ask if she’s around. We exchange numbers and i text saying hi and asking again if she’s around.

She responds that she’s not in town. Why swipe right on someone who’s looking specifically for someone in your area when you’re 3 hours away? What is there to chat about? We can’t meet up for the next week at the earliest. I just don’t get it. I don’t understand the point.

This has happened to me before many times. I don’t get it.

EDIT: I should add that I don’t swipe right on everyone. I try to look for something in common or something that we can talk about in the profile. I don’t just swipe on “hot” girls.

So when i swipe a girl and we match, the first thing i do is see if they’re in town or not. If they’re not, i usually just unmatch them.

This girl didn’t have any of the hobbies i liked or anything in common that i could see. So that’s why her location was the deciding factor for me.
