The Bank Robbery

A young man walks into a bank, and approaches the teller.<br><br>“Give me all your money.” He says.<br><br>The teller complies, he fills his pockets, bags, and takes a backpack full of money and runs.<br><br>Two blocks down the road he’s stopped by two police officers.<br><br>“Sir, do you have any money on you?” The officer asks.<br><br>“Yes,” the young man replies.<br><br>“Can you empty your pockets for me, please?”<br><br>He does so, revealing stacks and stacks of money.<br><br>“Is this yours?”<br><br>“No.”<br><br>“Where did you get it?”<br><br>“I robbed a bank.”<br><br>“Sir, I’m going to have to take you in.”<br><br>The young man goes to jail, and his family hires a lawyer for him.<br><br>“I think I can get the prosecution to give you a fair deal.” The lawyer says.<br><br>The courtroom is packed with important people, the prosecutor, the judge, and two police officers.<br><br>The lawyer steps forward.<br><br>“Your honor, my client would like to plead guilty to the crime of bank robbery.”<br><br>“How do you plead to the crime of Bank Robbery?” The judge asks.<br><br>“I do not plead guilty.” The young man replies.<br><br>Everyone is shocked, the judge slams his gavel.<br><br>“How dare you, young man.”<br><br>“I’m sorry your honor. I didn’t rob a bank.”<br><br>The judge slams his gavel again.<br><br>“Let the prosecutor present his case.” The judge says.<br><br>The prosecutor steps forward.<br><br>“Ladies and gentlemen, there was a bank robbery. My evidence is that he had money and he told the police he robbed a bank.”<br><br>The judge smirks.<br><br>“That’s not a very good case, counselor.”<br><br>The prosecutor looks worried and starts sweating.<br><br>“I have more evidence.” He says.<br><br>He pulls out a video, it shows the young man robbing a bank. They watch the whole thing.<br><br>The courtroom erupts.<br><br>“Your honor, may I speak?” The lawyer asks.<br><br>“Yes.”<br><br>“Your honor, my client did not rob a bank.”<br><br>“He’s lying.” The prosecutor says.<br><br>“How do you know?” The judge asks.<br><br>“He robbed a Bank.”<br><br>The courtroom erupts again.<br><br>The judge slams his gavel for the third time.<br><br>“The defendant is free to go.”
