What's the economic argument for legalizing polygamy?

Polygamy is a big argument in the US because of Utah, and now the big case is before the US Supreme Court, and it's a big topic in other parts of the world like the UK.<br><br>I'm not an economist, (what's my backup?) but my guess is the economic argument for legalizing it is it would help widows and orphans.
