What is the best way to create web content?

I've been trying to figure out if there is a best way to create web content. I create content in a text editor and format it using HTML. This was ok for small projects, but I'm starting to get a lot of different content from different sources and editors and I'm finding it difficult to keep things consistent. <br><br>Can anyone explain what their process is for creating content? I'm talking about people and companies that are creating a lot of content. How do you manage it and what tools do you use? Thanks for any feedback.
