Superhero casting announcements need to stop right now

There is zero reason for casting announcements to be this far in advance of a movie. Get your shit together and stop taking jobs from more deserving people, Disney/Marvel. Shits fucking ridiculous at this point. The Shang Chi movie was announced in 2018, we didn’t need to know casting information that far in advance. And don’t even get me started on the casting announcements of the marvel Disney+ shows.

Edit: To clear things up, my problem isn’t with the casting process, its the actual announcement of casting to the public, which is always years in advance of the release of the movie/show. A perfect example of what I’m talking about is the casting announcement of the Fantastic Four movie which was announced in 2019 and was supposed to come out in 2023. The movie was then delayed to 2025, meaning that the casting announcement was made 6 years before the release of the movie.

Another thing to note is that I’m not saying casting takes that long, it’s the actual filming process that really takes time. A perfect example of this is the casting announcements for Shang Chi and the Eternals which were announced in 2019 with Shang Chi releasing in 2021 and the Eternals in 2020. There were TWO YEARS in between the announcement of the casting and the release of the movie. Which is completely ridiculous, the casting announcement should be made AFTER the filming of the movie is complete.
