The concept of "productivity" does not fit in a capitalist society.

We've all been there at some point in our lives, looking at a website or a chamber to help us be more productive and be "smarter" and "faster" with the work we do. I think it's safe to say that we all would love to be more productive and do more work in less time and some of the tips and tricks you can find there can really help with that. But let's look at the bigger picture here. We spend less time at work but from the time we leave work, we've got to rush to the store to get some ingredients for dinner, rush home to cook dinner for ourselves and maybe our families as well, and then we probably would have to spend even more time doing chores and cleaning the house if were not already burnt out from the work from the day.

I don't know what your job is, but if you have one, you probably make around $15-$30 an hour, and you probably spend around $50-$100 a day just on the basic necessities. And what I'm getting at here is that the concept of "productivity" is really a capitalistic concept that tells you to be more productive at your job so you can work more hours a day and get a higher paid job so you can afford more stuff. Would you ever dream that you could go grocery shopping and pay with time? Instead of paying for something with money, you could pay for something in hours of work? That's how it used to be and should be. There is no reason that we can't go back to that. But instead, we have to convert our time to work for money, work, and money and hours, are not the same thing. And if you were to convert your money into time, yes you would be making some from the hours you work, but you would still be spending more time to do other things in your life. The hours spent at the store, the hours spent at the bank, the hours spent driving.

Most people would love to have more free time to spend time with family and friends and to do whatever they want, but because we live in a capitalist society like this one, we have to work more hours and be more productive at work so we can earn more money so we can afford to do things like travel or go out to a nice meal. And of course, someone working a 40-hour week can't afford a nice meal out. So what I'm getting from this is that being productive is nothing else but a scam, to make us work more hours, so we can earn more money so we can buy more things until we can't physically work anymore. And if you can't physically work anymore, then you've failed. So you've got to work harder and faster and be more productive so you can earn even more money, so you can work even more so you can earn more.

And then there's the time you spend on this website or on other websites looking at tips and tricks to be more productive. This is also something that can help perpetuate this cycle. So we spend more time on these websites looking for more hours in the day so we can work more and make more money and work and make money until we can't work anymore.

I know that a lot of people probably make a living from giving tips and tricks on being more productive and that's a job in itself, and I do know that having some sort of guide can be helpful. But the fact that being productive can be used as a way to get people to make more money and work more hours is sickening. I do hope we can all just be fulfilled and happy and I know that there are other forms of money and other ways to live.
