How do I stop developing,but not breaking, a crush on a guy?

So,but I can't break the damnable crush, but I want to STOP from developing the crush. See, the guy is a friend of mine, but he's a feelings replier. I have no feelings for him whatsoever. But I don't want to ignore him and make him feel bad. But then again, I want to stop developing the crush. I don't want to start feelings for him.
