My wife and I met in 2016, and on our second date she told me something I would have considered crazy if I hadn't experienced the same thing in my own life. Up until the time I met her, she was convinced as a kid that she was going to die on September 1, 2019. How she came to believe that was beyond me, but her absolute insistence on the matter was a little disturbing.

Fast forward a few years and I have to admit, I basically forgot all about it. She never talked about it, and neither did I.

September 1, 2019 rolled around and we had a long day at work. My wife was the manager at a restaurant and I was a sous chef. We both got out of work around 2am, went to a bar for a few hours, went home, hooked up, went to sleep.

She was alive the next morning.

Looking back, had we not met I probably would have never known my wife and the love of my life wouldn't exist.

Now I'm not saying that the universe or whatever has its thumb on us and influences our decisions, but something convinced my wife that she was going to die in September of 2019. Now, maybe that was just a random day she picked, but who knows.
