I'm from Spain and lived in several European countries.

I'm in Brazil for 5 months (in São Paulo, an hour from the airport). As a foreigner, I can tell you that when they say:

"Brazil is not for beginners", They are telling the truth.

The heat and sun are exaggerated. Food is VERY greasy (I'm not a vegetarian, but I've never had more fruits and vegetables in my life). The Brazilians are friendly and curious. They want to speak.

English is not so common, but it is more common than in Spain. English is advancing a lot in Brazil, in the "younger" population it is quite common. Brazilians love to speak (when they can), do not be surprised if they stop to speak with you.

In Spain, we have many Brazilians, so I already knew a lot about Brazilian culture. And I have already traveled in South America.

Brazil is cheap. Half the price of Spain / Portugal, a quarter of the price of Switzerland / Austria. Portugal is very similar to Brazil.

As a European, you can breathe a sigh of relief because in Brazil you can walk in the middle of the street with your mobile phone or AirPods and no one will kill you to steal them, as happens in Latin America.

Brazil is a great country, big, new and dynamic. Young people are aware of their country. Lula won because young people voted for him. They want to change their country.

Brazilians are very aware of what is happening in the world. Speaking with people there, I was surprised. They know a lot about Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Chile or Uruguay. They know the capitals and capitals. They know who the presidents are, what parties rule.

Outside of South America and Europe, they don't care too much. They know the capitals and leaders of the big countries: USA, UK, France, China, Japan. They don't know much about Africa, except for the Portuguese-speaking countries there (Mozambique, Cape Verde, etc.). Sometimes they don't even know the capitals.

There is a lot of misinformation about Brazil on social networks. Of course there is violence and crime, but you can live your day to day normally, without much danger, as long as you use common sense.

The image of Brazil presented by the news is false.

I have not had any problems. But I am not a novice. If I were from Poland or a country with no connection to Brazil, I would not like to live in São Paulo.

There are many Brazilians on the street, living on the street. That's the saddest thing I've seen. Many children.

I lived in Mexico City (CDMX) or Buenos Aires for years. And I can tell you that São Paulo is at the level of these cities. It is an advanced country.

Spain and Portugal are very close to Brazil. If you are from Portugal or Spain, you will feel at home. It is a country very similar to ours. Sometimes I feel like I'm in Porto or southern Portugal.

If you are European, you have no reason to feel scared.

The Brazilians love Europeans. They are a country of immigrants and they are very happy with that.

They love Spain and Portugal. They're soccer fans. There are many Spanish-speaking Brazilians, especially in São Paulo, which is more connected to Europe.

I think it's a problem that they don't teach them more languages at school. The world is global and they only speak Portuguese. They don't learn English or Spanish, which is the most important language in South America. Many Brazilians speak Spanish. They like Spanish because they like telenovelas.

There are also many Brazilians who refuse to learn English or Spanish. Very nationalist. EUA é bruxa.

Brazil is going to be an important country in a few decades. And it is already.

It's a young country. DEMOGRAPHIC BOMB. By 2050 more than 230 million people. More inhabitants than the USA! By 2060 the Brazilian economy will be among the top 5 in the world. Within 40 years the BRAZILIAN ECONOMY WILL BE LARGER THAN GERMANY'S. Within 60 years it will be the second largest economy in the world, ahead of the USA.

And this country is growing DEMOGRAPHICALLY. It is not like China. China's growth was linked to population growth. Now China is going to shrink, because the population is shrinking a lot.

Today Brazil is in the top 10 of the world's largest economies.

Brazil has EVERYTHING. Industry, agriculture, livestock, mining, oil. They have the best beef in the world and the cheapest.

It is one of the 5 Bread Baskets of the world, along with the United States, Russia, Canada and Australia. Important bread producer.

Millions of square kilometers of forests.

They live off almost everything. It is the only country in South America where there are no poor areas. Peru or Ecuador has the Andean part, which is much more backward. Bolivia is a poor country. In Argentina, there is a lot of poverty in the villages.

In Brazil, there is not. No matter how remote you are, it's just a matter of going to the town center to see some development.

Brazil has EVERYTHING. Climate, nature, beaches, savannas, mountains, forests, rivers. Everything.

The Brazilians are cheerful, happy and sad people at the same time.

They complain about their politics, but they also have a lot of hope.

The generation change is happening. There are more and more young people running for mayor, governor or congress. Young Brazilians are going to better their country.

Even though they complain about their country, they love their country.

Many Brazilians are ashamed to say they are of their nationality.

But deep down they are very proud.

I've been to many countries and I can tell you that Brazilians are very different. They are a bit crazy, funny, funny and nervous people.

They are very expressive. Very happy people.

They are very friendly and curious.

They do not get along with each other. But they are very friendly with foreigners.

In fact... they don't really care much about each other. Their individualism is very high. It's not like in Spain or Portugal, where family is everything. Brazilians don't give a shit about their family. Or they don't love it much. They are VERY individualistic.

They are very lazy. They don't like to work. But they are very good at what they do. They like to do what they like.

The Brazilians are not an organized people. They are a people who beat their chest and shout: "I am like this because I was born like this."

They are not going to change. Because they are proud of being this way.

It is a country with a lot of variety. In Santos or São Paulo, there are MANY brunettes. And they are VERY European.

In northeastern Brazil, you can easily confuse it with Africa or the Dominican Republic.

In southern Brazil you can confuse it with Argentina or Uruguay.

There are many customs in Brazil. Coffee is very important. The Brazilians drink a lot of coffee. It is the most consumed beverage after water.

The beer is also famous. They are very good at it. Caipirinhas too. They like drinking.

Brazilians love football. They like to party. Carnaval, farofa, samba, forró... music and dance are very important.

They are very curious. They want to know you. They want to talk. They want to flirt. They like to go out. They like to live.

And they are very haughty.

They are used to being attacked. And they are very proud of being what they are.

They don't care much about what people think. They are very proud of their country. They are not ashamed.

They are very haughty people. Very proud.

Brazilians are an enigma. Contradictions. They are very cheerful and funny, but they also have the ugliest accent in the world.

They have a beautiful country. But they are messy and they have a lot of trash on the street. Many insects, cockroaches, mosquitoes, ants.

They have many defects, but they are very happy and proud.

They are a strange people, different from the rest.

They are used to being rejected and they don't care.

And that's what makes them better.

THERE IS NO COUNTRY LIKE BRAZIL.

Brazil is a country of EUROSOUTHAMERICANS. They don't want to be Africans. They are very proud of having their roots in Europe.

That's why it's not a typical South American country. It's a country connected to Europe.

Brazil has a lot to offer. It is a country with a lot of future.

Because it has a lot of defects, but the Brazilians don't care.

Brazil is not for beginners.

****Brazil is a country for tough people.****
