What was the attitude of people in the 70s/80s/90s towards older generations?

Let's assume that the generations of the past were exactly like the ones of today, culture and all. How did people view boomers and silents back in the day? Were people as critical of them as zoomers are of boomers? Did they make fun of the older generations like zoomers make fun of boomers now?<br><br>What about during the 50s? How did the silents view the Lost and the GIs?
