My Dog Fakes Being Sick For Food

My dog literally starves herself to lose weight so that my husband and I give her people food. She is a German Shepherd, weighs about 85 pounds, and has been trained to sit and get food. Whenever she wants people food, she just won’t eat her dog food (which is actually really good, nutritional, and better than most people food). She will have normally at dinner time and just keep her bowl until I give her people food. Usually, I give her chicken, rice, or corn. I’ve never seen a dog go on a hunger strike like she does. My husband and I have tried to throw her dog food in her bowl and she just keeps it there for whatever reason. I don’t know why she does this but it’s something to laugh at since we both know she’s starving herself.
