Just a quick update. Been doing meal prep since October, and I've been doing a week's worth for myself since January.

I just weighed myself for the first time in a couple of weeks and I'm down 4 pounds. I'm trying to cut fat and increase muscle. I'm not really worried about the weight loss too much as long as I'm feeling good.

The money savings is definitely there. I was spending way too much on takeout and restaurants. My grocery budget was $40 a week and that's more than enough. I was just overeating because I had all that extra money for restaurants and takeout.

Still sticking to two different meal preps because I can't stand the idea of eating the same meat and veggie for 5 days straight. I have two meals of chicken and shrimp per day. It's an odd combo, I know, but I feel good and I'm saving money.

I have all the kitchen tools, tupperware etc. I spent a couple hundred dollars in January for some slow cookers, a single serving pan, and decent cookware, but that's been an investment that's already taking care of me.

I'm so impressed by everyone's meal preps. I wish I had the rest of the photos of everyone's meals. Where do you all put shrimp? In the veggies or the meat? I'm just curious. I cut the shrimp up and mix it with the chicken and veggies. Beets, onions, mushrooms and bell peppers for one meal, and beets, onions, garlic and broccoli for the other meal. I'm not a fan of beets, but it's the only thing that cooks here.

Thanks for sticking with me. I'm excited to see everyone's progress at the end of May!

Edit: I eat all my meals. I have a sweet tooth, so I still have dessert once a day. It's always sugar free. I also drink a protein shake in the morning.
