I just wanted to ask you shirtless liths something here. I'm a Ukrainean from Chernihiv, my whole family lives there. It was occupied from 27.02 to 31.03.2022. I thankfully have had no significant war damage and all my family is alive and well. I have never been in any combat, I have not even seen a corpse or a dead body for real. Why do I need to explain all this? Well, all I wanted to ask is...

Do you actually have any friends left from that region who were in combat? The reason I ask this is that a year ago on my first day camping in Lithuania (it was a fun trip) I met 2 awesome and beautiful Lithuanian girls, who were friends with me through the night and we even made a traditional Ukrainian comfort food together. After the girls had left the campsite and went home, I decided to say hi to them in Lithuania's biggest city, Vilnius, cause I had so much fun with them. When they learned I was Ukrainian, they said they actually did have a question for me. The question sounded something like "I know you're Ukrainian, we're Lithuanians and we're friends with some Ukrainians from the south front (from the "Kherson" region). They're doing combat and they're fine, but we just heard from our acquaintances that the south is collapsing and all the Ukrainian forces are fleeing. Sorry if this is true, I just wanted to share information with you."

And then I answered, "Well, I'd like to thank you for this, but all news in Ukraine are from the official Ukrainian army channel. And I think your friends are leaving Ukraine because they wanted to break through Russian lines, but failed, and then retreated to their own lines, because the Ukrainian army is currently focusing on the biggest breakthrough in Bakhmut region (the biggest and only clash between Ukraine and Russia right now). This is why all the Ukrainian southern army troops are being moved to Bakhmut region, but I think they certainly didn't flee."

But after I said that, the girls were kind of silent and didn't answer anything. And then said "Well, we're sorry, but thank you very much for the information. It is very important for us and we really want Ukrainians to win." So I left, and now I'm just wondering if those girls' friends are still alive or have they been taken prisoner by Russia. I'm not saying they were lying to me, but if they really were fleeing, can you imagine how they must have felt when they were taken prisoner by Russia? I hope they are still alive and were not taken prisoner, but this is a question for all Lithuanians. Do you have friends who are or were in combat and are fine? Or have they been taken prisoner or have they been killed or have they fled Ukraine because they couldn't bear it?

I'm glad we decided to go to war though. I remember when Russia first attacked Ukraine, there were many videos where Ukrainian forces were destroying Russian tanks and equipment and even Ukrainians were saying "We're not gonna lose this war". And now look what we're doing. Ukraine is collapsing, but at least we have new equipment, and hopefully, we won't have to run away again and lose more land. I really feel sorry for those Ukrainian girls I met. I wish we could have stayed friends for a long time. I should probably stop now. I think I've gone way too much off topic.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks and I'm sorry Ukrainians are losing and I'm sorry Ukrainians are not winning this war. Hopefully, this won't happen anymore. Thank you shirtless Lithuanians and thank you for your time.
