**Google is working on a new feature that will allow Android phone users to unlock Chromebooks with a single tap.**<br><br><br><br>Design and functionality of the feature will be similar to Apple's continuity feature which is available between Apple devices, for the first time this feature will be available on other operating systems.<br><br><br><br>In Apple devices, the user just needs to bring their Apple Watch or iPhone near the Apple laptop which is display is off, tap hello on the pop up screen and you will be able to go to home screen.<br><br><br><br>Same way the user needs to put his phone near the Chromebook and tap "Hello" on the popup screen.<br><br><br><br>The working of the feature is very simple because the user needs to put his phone near the Chromebook for a single tap, so this is not a proximity unlock feature.<br><br><br><br>If the user tries to unlock the Chromebook by putting the phone near the Chromebook then it will not work and the user needs to tap on the popup screen.<br><br><br><br>If the user has 2FA authentication enabled on his account then the Chromebook will be unlocked automatically and this feature is not available for incognito Chrome users.<br><br> <br>This feature is currently in testing, not available to public and might be available soon might not, so confirm the news from other sources.<br><br>This feature might be useful to business users and institutions as well.<br><br>**Source - Android Authority.**
