I am a very hard working man, I make very good money, I take care of my family, I am very generous, I never say no to them when they want something, but my wife always complains that I don't spend time with her and our kids, she thinks I don't take her feelings into consideration, she is always making a big deal over small things, asking if I can do this or that for her, she wants me to pay her attention all the time, she wants to hug and kiss me at all times, I find it extremely annoying.

She said I spend too much time at work, I spend more than 12 hours a day at work, and usually, I am too tired to go out in the evening, I am not really into going out anyway, I like staying home and watching a movie alone, she finds this offensive and thinks that I don't value her as my wife. She wants me to go on dates with her and take our kids to the park, I find it so tiring and annoying.

I had an argument with her the other day and I finally snapped and told her, Listen, I give you thousands of dollars every month, either take the money or get out, you can't have it both ways, if you want attention then stop accepting my money, sell your jewelry and clothes and cars and take our kids and get out, with the amount of money I give you every month, you can live a comfortable life without me, so either take my money or leave. She cried and said I'm making her feel like a bought woman, I said what the hell is that, did you ever lack anything? Did I ever say no to buying you anything? You have thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, clothes, handbags, you drive a range rover and the kids go to private schools, what more do you want, I don't get it, I don't get what she wants and I'm not going to play dumb anymore.

She told my mom and she said I hurt her feelings and that what I said was very offensive, she has every right to want attention from me. My sister said I went too far and it was a very disrespectful thing to say to her. My friends said I fucked up big time, I should just man up and take her out even if I'm tired, she's my wife, after all, she deserves my attention.

I don't think I did anything wrong, I provide for my family, I take care of them, I buy them whatever they want, I don't know what else they want from me, I'm not gonna start being a liar and pretend that I'm clinging to my wife and looking into her eyes all day, that's just not who I am. AITA?
