It’s really annoying in school to have to look up the definition of every other word in a text. Most of the time I have to use Google and then I get distracted by the other search results and I have to go to a different tab or app to get back to my work.<br><br><br>DefineDefine is an app that connects to your desktop and laptop so you can highlight words and have the definition pop up on your phone.<br><br><br>Pros for teachers: 1. Less distractions because instead of showing students the definition on a big screen the students’ phones will be able to talk to them about each word. 2. Because the phone app will talk to the student, there is no need for hearing impaired kids to have an interpreter or ear piece system, they’re phone will just tell them what everything means and if they’re having trouble hearing something they can just plug in their earbuds and the phone will take care of the rest.<br><br><br>Pros for students: 1. There is no need to be distracted by controls on the definition website of app. If the app is in voice recognition mode it won’t even bring up the controls. 2. If there is a word in a sentence that you want to look up you can just use voice control and say the sentence or the word and the app will give you the definition. 3. BecauseDefineDefine is an app on your phone it can hear you, and if it hears a word in speech it can give you the definition without you needing to do anything. 4. The app will run while your phone is asleep.
