Am I just being paranoid, or has anyone else noticed that the Google ads are tailored to things you just looked up on your home computer?

I have had this issue on multiple phones, across multiple providers. I don't know if it's just me but I'll look something up on one device and all of a sudden I get tons of Google ads for the same thing later on, on a different device. If you've also experienced this, please comment and let me know that I'm not losing my mind.
