I work at an enterprise as an AI solutions engineer. Our company uses a personalized ChatGPT as our chatbot.

We have people struggle with using it, and the simplicity of the prompt.

I was talking to a fellow engineer and he mentioned that he couldn’t find the “cheer” emoji using the chatbot. I asked him how many different ways he tried to phrase it to find it. He showed me and I realized his “simple” request wasn’t simple at all.

He was asking the chatbot for a cheer to motivate people. After a few requests, I asked him what kind of cheer would motivate. That’s when he said that he is just looking for the emoji.

He asked:
“give me a cheer to motivate the team”

I asked:
“Can you show me a cheer emoji?”

This is just one example. It is a struggle for humans to ask simple requests to an AI and it’s frustrating.

Humans have a tendency to make things complex. AI requires simplicity as of today.

What are your simple requests that AI couldn’t fulfill?
